This session will cover Facebook's experience since last summit on scaling out Wedge 100, Wedge 100s, and Backpack deployments. We will share learnings we've had around how treating a switch like a server brings many benefits, but it also brings its challenges. Further, we will cover specific use cases with Backpack, which is 12 switches in 1, and how we've handled that as our first chassis switch deployed at scale.
Nina is a software engineer working on Facebook's disaggregated network switches, making sure the packets go where they should. Before that she spent time working on deployment, containers and the occasional site outage.
