Wondering what a Universal backplane means ? Want to be prepared the SAS / SATA to NVMe transition ? Want to build a system that supports SAS / SATA / NVMe drives in the same slot ? Or just want to to how we have built it ? Curious if you can build NVMe RAID yet ? Want to more about U.3 ? Wondering if time for PCIe Gen4 backplane yet ?
Come attend this session to understand why we think we’ve built a perfect vehicle for storage market transition.
This session will start with couple of demos around tri-mode storage in Barreleye G2 server. Then it take you through the engineering specifics around implementation. Rest of the session is around how this implementation is modular enough to be integrated into any OCP server / JBOD. We will discuss about this serving as OCP tri-mode implementation reference. We will also talk about what us as an industry need to do in-order to make tri-mode implementations easy and scale to next generation (PCIe Gen4 / SAS 4.0).
