John is a Principal Engineer at Intel Corporation in the Data Center Group.  John has been in the computer industry for over 37 years: architecting, designing and coding.  At Intel, John is currently focused on the manageability interfaces for Intel® Rack Scale Design and server platforms.

John represents Intel on the Board of the DMTF standard organization (dmtf.org) holding the office of Vice-Chair and the VP of Alliances.  John represents Intel in DMTF's Redfish Forum.  In the Open Compute Project, John is the Incubation Committee's liaison to its Hardware Management Project.

Prior to Intel, John worked at two successful startups (Sun Microsystems and Auspex Systems), developing firmware, board-level diagnostics and system-level diagnostics and managing multiple implementation groups.  Prior to working in Silicon Valley, John worked in the defense industry (McDonnell Douglas and Logicon).

John received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering & Applied Science from the California Institute of Technology. While attending Caltech, John worked at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory analyzing telemetry from Pioneer 12.
